I spent 15 years in construction, both commercial and residential doing everything from plumbing to electrical, Drywall repair roof repair.
I currently work as a supplier quality engineer as a liaison between regulatory agencies, Boeing and suppliers.
My wife Jolena & I moved to Midway (from Heber) in 2020. We live in Lime Canyon and absolutely love Midway and our Homestead Ward family.
I was born in San Luis Obispo California in 1967. When I was 8 we moved to Cedar City where my family ran a (1,000 head) sheep ranch. Those were formative years for me. At 13 my family moved to Riverton, UT where I attended Bingham High School. Later on, while serving a mission in Orange County, California, I met Jolena Hendry. We got married in 1988 in Santa Monica temple in California. We have 5 children and 7 grandkids.
In addition to Heber and Midway, Jolena and I have lived in Salt Lake, Taylorsville, and Sandy (Utah), and Lake Forest, Orange, and Corona (California).
Prior to becoming self-employed I worked at a Land Title company (as a land title researcher), a music company (as a Piano/Guitar salesman), and at an office paper recycling company as a salesman.
When I was 25 Jolena and I started our own an office paper recycling company in Anaheim, California. I discovered my true passion when we hired a developer to create a custom software app to help us run the business. After reading many books (this was pre-YouTube :) and attending night school to learn software development, we sold the recycling company and started a small software business to create custom software applications for small businesses. For the past 25 years, (through thick and thin, and a lot of bootstrapping), we have been developing and perfecting an accounting/ERP app that provides Inventory, Order, and Warehouse Management solutions for wholesale distribution companies.
Running our business is my biggest hobby--since it takes up so much of my time and thought processes. I also love playing various music instruments (piano, keyboards, drums, guitar), and playing the piano for my daughter Kenna Childs (who has music on Apple, Spotify, YouTube). I also enjoy reading (and listening to podcasts) about business, self-improvement, and topics centered around my faith in God, Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, and the Church.
If you are reading this and we haven't met--please introduce yourself to me!

Life has been good to me.
I’ve loved Midway for many years and finally moved here a few years ago. Some of my favorite memories are tied to Midway’s traditions, especially Swiss Days, which I’ve enjoyed since I was young. My wife and I have a large, lively family, and we love gathering together to play games, watch games, and spend time outdoors. We both speak French after serving as missionaries in France, a country and people we still hold close to our hearts.
My wife Cheryl and I have five children, all of whom are out of the house. I teach estate planning at BYU law school. I water ski on summer mornings at Deer Creek. I play tennis on winter mornings at the rec center. I have done a lot of mountain biking, canyoneering, backcountry skiing, backpacking, boating & surfing, etc. I have a big truck if you need it.
Skiing, long-distance road cycling, mountain biking, hiking, doing epic multi-day cycling tours. Author, public speaker. Adjunct professor at Ensign College.
